Now you are seven!

You love playing with Barbies! It's what you love to do the most. We just celebrated your 7th birthday! You had so much fun running to greet everyone who came. We played games and you had so much fun. The theme was Elsa party and we decorated crowns and wands. You got these blue light glasses from Grandma Bennett and you love them. When you took this picture with your Mom you told her, "now all you need are bangs!" We all thought it was so cute that you said that!

Five and a half you told me!

I'm five and a half you told me! You love to color with markers and you have more interest than ever in drawing. You are learning so much academically. I noticed your interest in reading words. You took this picture of us together with your Mom's phone. You are the only grandchild I have that has ever wanted and initiated a selfie of us together.

Today you are 2 years old!

Today is your birthday. Papa and I brought your gifts over a couple of days ago because we did not go to your birthday party due to the pandemic. Your brother got a scooter for Christmas and when we were at our house you just strolled up on the scooter and acted like it was nothing to ride it....like you'd been riding it for years! Your Mom told me she decided to get you your own scooter for your party today since you were enjoying Owen's so much. We got you a mixer and some dolls. You loved them all. You like to feed the doll with a spoon or bottle. You have a large vocabulary and you have learned how to scream if your brothers get in your way. You are a very happy toddler and I think you are affectionate too.

Papa and Paul Newman!

 So this little story is one of the best ones yet.  One day you looked into your Momma’s pantry and spotted a bottle of salad dressing with the picture of Paul Newman on it.  You pointed at the dressing and said Papa!  

Then when your Mom handed you the salad dressing you started hugging it and your Mom sent us this picture and told us the story!

  

We are still marveling at how you could see that picture and see the similarities!  We loved it.

Your run and play with your brothers and yet you are so sensitive and sweet.  Emma got a doll that cried tears and when the baby cries and the tears come your Mom said you were distressed!  These are some pictures your Mom took and sent me.  So sweet. I love the sweet expression on your face.

18 months old

 Sweet Eden,

You are now already 18 months old. You are energetic and sweet.  We've been living through the pandemic and it had been several weeks since I'd seen you.

When Papa and I came over to your house you were waiting at the door with your brothers.  You spotted me as I was walking up to the door and you ran into my arms. You held me close and laid your little head on me.  It was the sweetest most incredible feeling.  Love given from such a tiny little girl, yet sincere and true love and I felt it.

You sat on my lap for quite a while and I was glad to hold you. We play with your baby doll and we have a lot of fun!

You know so many words now and are proud to point at the pictures on Owen's preschool pictures on the wall and tell me what the pictures are of. You absolutely LOVE looking at books too and you have so much fun playing in the little pool your Momma got for you.  You love to pull on your Mom's hair, it almost reminds me of a security blanket that you created on your own initiative.

We all went out to dinner and you were eager to play outside on the playground. You seemed to have no trouble keeping up with your brothers and you were so proud to look down, smile and wave at me.  I still must say, being with your brothers and trying to keep up with them, is when I see you with the biggest smile on your face. Your brothers make you very happy!

You are a happy baby and you love your brothers so much. What a joy you are dear Eden, what a joy you are.

Betsy the Bear, Crayons and Valentine’s Day

On Valentine’s Day I brought this bag over for the boys and had candy in it....I didn’t bring any candy for you because you are too little.  But I tell you what you took a liking to that bag and you were walking all around the house with it.

 

 Look how adorable you look in this little jacket!

I brought over this little bear, Papa had given it to me a couple years back.  I decided to bring it over for you to play with.  Your little arm reached out for her and you hugged her ‘give her love’ and there was no way I could think of bringing her back to my house. 

 

Your Mom bought you some crayons and a pencil box to put them in. You love carrying them around and then when I came over we colored with them.  You loved coloring and playing with me!

Today you cried and cried for me when I took the boys into the restaurant and left you behind with your Mom, while she was getting you out of your car seat.  I think it’s safe to say I feel the same way about you! Love you to the moon and back!

First Birthday Party

Today you turned one.

Your Grandma Ruby painted a picture for you and this is you looking at it.  I am in awe of your sweet personality.  Look at the delight on your face as you look at the pic.

You loved opening your presents and you loved having your cousins there!

You weren’t too sure about the cake.
